December 23, 2003: Since 1997 grading reports have appeared
on the Chess Scotland web page. Although useful there was one
major defect - they did not always reflect updated information
which had been changed in the grading computer. For example a
Marymass report posted early in the season may have indicated
that a player was a J11, however later in the year it was found
that this was an error and that the player was actually a J13.
The incorrect J11 status will linger in the web report until such
time as a changed web report was uploaded. With limited time available
small changes could not always be corrected and the error would
be allowed to persist.
To the rescue comes the latest Alex Bisset enhancement which
permits a mass upload of all web reports where any piece of changed
information has occurred. Previously the web reports were merely
a historical snapshot but now become a "live" report
of what information is sitting in the grading computer.
The featured items on this page and the league pages are the
main congress, club and league web reports presented in a more
useful order than the mass list of all events. The complete check
list of all processed events is available here.

Events processed during season 2003-2004 appear
here. The Chess Scotland grading team try for 100% accuracy in
processing data. Please let us know immediately of any result
errors and an amendment will be made - we also are looking for
errors on clubs, spellings and junior ages (should be as at Jan
1, 2004). The date after an event date indicates the last time
data was modified eg a correction may have been made to existing
data.
NB: If you spot any errors or want to supply
any additional info please contact the chief grader immediately.

Every single tournament and league result can
be viewed on these pages. Junior sections at adult congresses
are included within the adult results. Junior only tournaments
are included below. Club data includes club championship and other
club competitions eligible for grading as part of a club's Chess
Scotland membership.
These are tournament grading results, which
is not the same as full tournament results - byes and defaults
are not processed for grading. NB The
Chess Scotland Grand Prix uses tournament grading results.
