Become a Member
Membership of Chess Scotland is on an annual basis, apart from life membership, and the table below gives the various types of membership. Included with membership, Patron membership and Life membership is one year’s subscription to Scottish Chess e-magazine at a reduced rate.
On this page, you can also place an order separately for Scottish Chess, the current Grading List, or the 100 Club.
When taking out Junior membership or Family membership, please can you email the Membership Secretary with the details of the person taking membership out.

Patron and Life Memberships

|Club membership entitles a member club to free grading of all of its internal club games to a maximum of 500 results (irrespective of whether or not individual players are members of Chess Scotland).|

Please note that in order to offset part of the PayPal charge to Chess Scotland, we must charge a small processing fee of 3% for any subscriptions renewed online. This will show up as’ Postage & Packing’ when you complete the registration process.
Pay by cheque or postal order
As an alternative to paying for membership online, you can download a Membership Application form, fill in the the requested details and send to the the Membership Secretary at the address given below, along with a cheque or postal order made payable to Chess Scotland for your fee.
