Do we not think the above tournament should be a front page story?
Considering the World Champion, a former world champion and a super grandmaster are coming to our shores to play chess that we shouldn't be shilling this for all its worth?
Equipment loan? Banners for the event? Contact for future sponsorship?
If CS have did this already, great. If not, it's a COMPLETE no brainer. And irrespective, I'd be putting this everywhere I could!

FIDE launches a project to support chess veterans
Tuesday, 23 April 2019 07:40
Following a decision of the 4th Presidential Board meeting 2018, the International Chess Federation is pleased to announce the continuation of its support to chess veterans with an exceptional budget of an annual total of 50,000 euros.
From this fund, 30,000 will be allocated to increase the prize funds in this year's Individual World Seniors Championships 50+ and 65+ (open and women).
The remaining 20,000 will go to individual nominees: anyone over 65 years old, who has contributed to the development of chess and who is in an unstable financial situation, is entitled to receive this support. Applications including a CV can be sent, personally or on behalf of somebody else, to the FIDE Secretariat office@fide.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
More details to be announced in approximately two weeks.
