This is great news!

Looks like we are going to have the Cowboys (Congalton and Deary) and the Indians.
ironic that Robin's last post reminded me of the Lone Ranger (musta been the mask) Big Grin
If I borrowed some money to offer further conditions would that make me the Loan (Ar)Ranger!!!!

I'll leave you to groan over that.

Arrangements going well. I now have a waiting list of GMs waiting to be invited.
I don't know which of the last three jokes is most cringeworthy.

Actually I do, its yours Alex. Congratulations! Big Grin
Alex's last post shows why he has been a member of Paisley Chess Club for so long. [Insert your own punch line here]- sorry Alex & Paisley ChessClub

Colin Macgregor

I've only played chess for 40 years and i thought that i'd seen and heard it all until reading the post from Alex.
Alex McFarlane has a sense of humour =| who'd have thought it.

I expect to see more of the same Alex. Big Grin
Do you need a Fide rating to play in the U1750 Championship?

No you don't. I'm sure that there will be plenty of entrants without FIDE ratings.

Thanks Derek.
A reminder that the reduced entry fee for this event is available only until the end of the month.

It's looking good for reaching the target number of titled players. A few surprise names just needing to dot the i's and cross the t's.
