The 2006 Primary Individual Championship was held as a residential weekend at Dunolly Adventure Centre in Aberfeldy on the 3rd and 4th of June. 32 players from all over Scotland took part.
As well as 6 rounds of chess the players were able to participate in a number of outdoor activities such as pole, wall and tree climbing.
The event was won by Jonathan Wright from Robert Gordon's School in Aberdeen with a score of 5½/6. In 2 nd place was Andrew McClement from Drumlemble Primary with 5/6. Jonny Scott from James Gillespies was third on tie-break from Barnaby Leach, also of Robert Gordon's. Both scored 4½.
