Good idea, would be interested without the increment. Don't know who needs a 10 second increment to play a rapid game, especially when already have 25 minutes, makes no sense!

Pretty much becoming the norm Joe.

Does away with claiming a draw (the old 10.2) which players seem to like

Seems to be so.. But 10 seconds is too much. If the point of increment is to stop slow players losing on time then 2 or 3 seconds is adequate!

Why not open a poll and see what the preference is.

For me I would go for 25-30 min with no increment, but if increment is essential then the less the better, anymore than 5 seconds for a rapid game is too much. Something like 20 2 or 20 3 sounds OK.
