can the following be clarified; by saying members only on this part of CS Noticeboard, does that mean one has to be a member of CS? Apologies if this was discussed before, poor memory.

No it means members of the forum. We do not have a way of making the forum CS members only other than doing it manually every time the membership list is updated. Not a simple task
