Official deadline actually 20 December

The European Individual Chess Championship is open to all players representing Chess Federations, which comprise the European Chess Union (FIDE zones 1.1 to 1.10), regardless of their title or rating. There is also no limit of the number of participants per federation; however applications have to be sent by the national federations only.

European Individual Chess Championship
The above link is an online registration. It should be filled in and sent to Ophir Tours not later than December 20, 2014.
So, posted today and has to be done today!

I would like to play this event at some point, but not this time for several reasons;

a) I don't think Israel is an appropriate place for the event to be held,

b) the costs are ridiculous,

c) the extra enforced free day, from which 'someone' will be making a small fortune,

d) I don't enjoy being surrounded by 'religion' - kind of hard to escape in Jerusalem!
Obviously not a post of much interest to the general chess-playing public in Scotland Big Grin but...
...has anyone shown an interest in playing this event?
Andy, no interest - clashes with World Senior and Cappelle anyway
