A big thank you to Ian Brownlee, Tom Donohue and all the guys at Lanark for organising for a thoroughly enjoyable 5 weeks of the chess. A well run, very relaxed and friendly little tournament with plenty of Tea, Coffee & Jammy Dodgers as well as many other sweet treats! Both Lauren & I have enjoyed every week - even before the prize giving

Ah, I was too busy last night to notice...but I am sure Phil moved one or more his centre pawns during the first half dozen moves.

Thanks Willie, it was a pleasure to run and big thanks to Tom Donahue who had to redo the draw virtually every week in order to deal with the call offs. My wife took my prize money off me when I got home!. Thanks also to Mick Hanley for helping to arbitrate on the first week and to Tom Brown for the finances As promised the game between Phil and myself will be published along with results etc
