Scotland's seniors in Poland
#8
Both of Scotland's senior teams lost narrowly yesterday with the last game being a very interesting but difficult rooks endgame on Alastair White's board. Today the 65+ team have good chance of reaching a high final placing although probale silver medallists Germany 1 are likely last round opponents. In the 50+ event there will be a Scotland v England encounter! All should make interesting watching on live games.

Tomorrow's pairing against Finland 1 is nice one and victory could be big step towards high above ranking placing. Scotland 50+ play local Polish opponents.

Will have to have a lie down after watching today’s 65+ roller coaster but well done the team for coming through despite Ian losing first game and the others looking not too promising at stages. An important win to give team plus score and hopefully avoid having to take bye because of odd number of teams - disappointing with relatively small entry in Poland?  Also an excellent 4-0 win today for Scotland's 50+ team ?
