It's just popped up on the English Chess Forum, where a gentleman cross-refers to the BBC website. (Oddly, this is classified under the BBC's Glasgow & West of Scotland page, but the report states:

The Imperia Chess Festival is Italy's longest running open event and attracts some of the biggest names in the sport.

All a bit depressing.
