Largs Viking Chess Congress

There was indeed a 5th round, with the players under strict instructions from the hard-pressed arbiter that there was to be no repeat of the game drawn under the 50-move rule, like in the 4th round.

From memory, Steve Mannion took first prize in the Open and Andrew Greet was second.
The other prizes were decided under some unfathomable tie-break system.
Lennart Koehn won 3rd prize, top junior and the 1st grading prize. (only one of these prizes was monetary)
Rosie Giulian won the 2nd grading prize, and Craig Gillies the 3rd grading prize.

Sorry, can't remember the prize winners in the Challengers.
