Frank Slotopolsky

[Zlotopolski at birth. Sometimes referred to as Slotopolsky Slater.]

Associated with Glasgow Jewish Institute Chess Club, and the Glasgow League.

Frank Slotopolsky on the left, and Erwin Knopfler, with the Glasgow Chess League Division 1 Shield, won by the Jewish Institute CC in season 1952-53.

At the AGM of the Glasgow Chess League, September 1954, he was elected vice-president.

Additional notes:
Frank had a barber's shop in the Bridgeton area of Glasgow.
His wife, Julia, whom he married in England in 1942, was awarded the MBE in 1997 for serving the community in Castlemilk.
