GM Jonathan Rowson won the Hastings Premier with one of the best ever individual performances by a Scot. Jonathan, seeded 6th, was unbeaten with a 6/9 score and tied first with Vasilios Kotronias of Cyprus.

The prizes were presented by Cllr. Phil Scott the Mayor of Hastings following a reception given by the Chairman and Trustees of Horntye Park. Jonathan is pictured holding the trophy, Mayor Scott on left and Vasilios Kotronias on right.

1= Jonathan Rowson (Scotland) 6/9, Vasilios Kotronias (Cyprus); 3. Vladimir Epishin (Russia) 5.5/9; 4. Abhijit Kunte (India) 5/9; 5. Peter Heine Nielsen (Denmark) 4.5/9; 6= Mark Hebden (England) 4/9; Kateryna Lahno (Ukraine); 8= Alexander Cherniaev (Russia) 3.5/9; Stuart Conquest (England); 10. Danny Gormally (England) 3/9.

First Prize winners shared the first and second prizes each receiving £1025. Third prize was £500.
