Sensory Board Donation

Chess Scotland is starting a fundraising exercise to buy some new sensory boards for use in tournaments. All sections, from Minor to Open, will get the use of these boards. Discussion on the topic can be found here.

Euro Team Championship – Warsaw, Nov 7-18

November 18th, 2013

The European Team Championship took place in Warsaw, Poland from November 7-18, 2013.

Scotland were one place ahead of seeding finishing 36th of 38 teams. Individually there was a significant net rating gain. Azerbaijan took top spot.

Time Control: Time control will be 90 min for 40 moves + 30 min for the rest of the game + 30 sec increment for every move played starting from the first move.

Draw Offers: Players may only agree to a draw after the 40th move has been made by black. Players violating this rule will be forfeited.
