Badalona Open
#1
The Andorra 19 are turning into the Badalona 4, for those of us who can't get enough of chess in the sun! Myself, Andrew Green, Clement Sreeves, and Michael Grove are all playing in the A section (2150+) of the Badalona Open starting on 2nd August. http://chess-results.com/tnr69821.aspx? ... aspx?lan=9

Will they be OK now without the "responsible adults" (Iain and Larry) ?

Responsible???? Big Grin

There appears to be just one live board, so chances are pretty slim that we get on it now. Wins yesterday for Sreeves and myself, and a default for Green who's opponent didn't show. Mikey was pretty disappointed not to score. However, his mood soon changed when later that night, we all went to the Camp Nou to watch Barcelona beat Santos 8-0. Incredible experience.

I see Andrew has an interesting opponent today, Felix Jose Ynojosa. This is the boy that cleaned up many junior tournaments when based in the UK including the British Land Challenge and younger age groups at the British Championship. I think he played in the full British Championship when he was about eleven or twelve. Nice to see he is now an IM.
