It this not a clash of calendar events?

for example -----

-- SNCL 2023/24 Rounds 5 & 6
-- Sun 25th Feb [1 day event]

and this has been published since before the first SNCL event

Jim,
I don't think it is a clash as I can't see many people who would be playing in the SNCL taking part and I can't see many people interested in the Seminar and Exam wanting to play in the SNCL.
Even at that numbers are limited and 2 Scottish arbiters have already put their names down and neither would have been playing. So far there has been much more interest in overseas arbiters taking part having had interest from Greece, Guatemala, Iceland and Sri Lanka!
Also we have to rely on our lecturer being available. We had always intended to have this earlier and it was only down to Alex's availability that this was the earliest we could manage.
Hope that explains the scheduling for you.
Alistair
