Little bit of clarification needed here chaps
During Summer 2010 when the only local club open was Hamilton I invited the youngest players going to Euroyouth 2011 to come along to the Hamilton club for coaching. Apart from local players the most notable attendees were Liam from Oban and Iona from Dumfries. Robin, don't worry abut the Hamilton influence on the development of these players Michael was catering manager on those occasions
....What this does demonstrate very strongly is the major input put in by our top parents.
I also need to mention that Liam had at that time substantial assistance from Duncan Campbell at the Oban chess club. Which perhaps confirms that once a week training is not enough.
