U16 Olympiad Hungary
#20
I am enjoying following Scotland in this event Smile It seems like a very good challenge for our kids.
However, I noticed the Irish team line-up.....

28. Ireland (IRL / RtgAvg:1762, Captain: Higgins Paul / TB1: 5 / TB2: 10)
Bo. Name Rtg FED 1 2 3 4 5 6 Pts. Games RtgAvg Rp
1 McGovern 1929 IRL 1 0 1 ½ 2.5 4 2109 2204
2 Mirza 1768 IRL 0 0 ½ 0 0.5 4 2068 1746
3 Higgins 1559 IRL 0 0 1 0 1.0 4 1830 1637
4 Keating 1575 IRL 0 1 1 1 3.0 4 1645 1838
5 Dwyer 1777 IRL 0 1 1 1 3.0 4 1580 1773

Any thoughts as to why Ireland have put their 2nd highest rated player on board 5?
Trying to optimise the team placing?
Medal chance?
Since he ends up playing much weaker opposition than he otherwise would have on board 2 (av=1580 as opposed to 2068), does anyone think this is good? Bad? Discuss!
