I might be wrong on this, but I think Scotland used to have its own NM titles way back. I wonder if the reintroduction of this would be something that might interest people. Say 2100+ and you get NM automatically. Means very little, but would give people something to aim for, and also mean once you did get there you could nab the freebie benefits on offer. Also no reputational damage since it is automatic, only used, and known by players in Scotland.
