      A G E N D A

      0. Apologies for absence

      1. Minutes of last meeting (see attached) and matters arising
      therefrom

(See attached file: Chess Scotland constitutional change.doc)

      5. Scottish Junior Chess - feedback from joint committee

We do not have an agreed document.  I attach the document produced by
SJC and the covering e-mail it was sent with, the reaction to it by
CS junior representatives on the joint committee and a copy of a post
from the CS noticeboard in which Fiona Petrie as SJC Chairperson
responded to the questions raised at the last Council Meeting.

I appreciate that people want to know whether there is value in
coming to discuss the junior issues, and I can only hope that the SJC
people who attend will be willing to talk.

(See attached file: Covering e-mail with SJC proposals.doc)

(See attached file: SJC proposals March 2005.pdf)

(See attached file: CS junior views on SJC proposals April 2005.doc)

(See attached file: Fiona Petrie post March 2005.doc)

Members who have not viewed the Chess Scotland Noticeboard may also
wish to since there are many posts on the board from a wide range of
      people.

      6. Budget 2005-6, including proposed fees (see two attached
      spreadsheets)

(See attached file: CS Budget 2005-06.xls)  (See attached file: 2005-6 fees.xls)

      7. AOB

      8. Date of Next Meeting

      Apologies for absence

Please e-mail me and tell me if you are unable to attend.

      SJC attendance

We agreed at the last Council Meeting that SJC should be invited to
the next council meeting.  Since other items may be of interest to
them, my assumption is that they are welcome to attend for all of the
      meeting.

      Directions to venue:

Prudential's offices are located at the roundabout at junction 10 on
the M9. If you are travelling by car, exit the M9 at junction 10. If
coming from the Edinburgh/Glasgow direction, turn left at the
roundabout at the end of the slip road and this brings you into the
Craigforth drive [and is signposted off the roundabout]. If coming
from the north, the slip road takes you to a different roundabout.
You should turn left at this roundabout and go along a short link
road to the other roundabout. Craigforth is the second exit road off
that second roundabout, and is signposted off it.

Please stop at the reception building on the right hand side of the
drive for directions on where to park.

      John Glendinning

      President
