Alex McFarlane – Resignation

15th November 2019

It is with regret that Chess Scotland has received and accepted the resignation from our Championship Director, IA IO Alex McFarlane.

Alex has been a stalwart for Chess Scotland over several decades and we wholeheartedly thank him for the service and dedication he has shown to the numerous roles he has had as well as wishing him all the best in his future endeavours.

As a result of this, we are now seeking a new Championship Director who will be responsible for the running of the 2020 Scottish Championships. May we ask any expressions of interest be sent to the Executive Director, Andy Howie
