Players Needed - Senior Teams Dresden
{"ops":[{"insert":"Senior Players Wanted (Over 65)"},{"attributes":{"header":1},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Updated Request"},{"insert":"\nPlease note that CS will make a decision on September 1st as to whether or not we can send a second team of 5 players to Dresden. In order to do this we need three new confirmed players by that date to add to the existing participants. We already have expressions of interest from two players.\n\n***** \nDue to some unavoidable withdrawals Chess Scotland has vacancies in our teams for the European Senior Team Chess Championships (over 65 group).\n\nWe would like to send two teams, preferably with 5 players in each team, but to do so we would ideally like to find 3 more players.\n\nIn these events the pleasure of participation and the camaraderie of the teams at the event are much more important than playing strength. Having said that, our 1st team for this year's event is made up of Scottish internationals. All of us will be in the same hotel and will normally be socialising each evening after the games.\n\nThe tournament will be held in Dresden from October 26th (day of arrival) to November 5th (day of departure). The best route for travel is probably to fly to Berlin and take a train for about 2 hours. All team members pay their own expenses, which total something in the region of £1,200, which includes flights, registration fees and accommodation with half board in an excellent hotel.\n\nWill any players who are 65 or older, and who would like to enjoy the experience of playing in a Scottish team, please contact \nDavid Levy ( davidlevylondon@gmail.com ) or\nAlan Tate ( alanwtate@gmail.com ).\n"}]}
