World Senior Individual – Greece

The World Senior Championships took place in Katerini, Greece October 23 - November 5 2014. IM Craig Pritchett (Dunbar) finished half a point behind the new world champion GM Anatoly Vassier (France) in the Senior 65 scoring 7.5/11 to finish in 7th place after tiebreak. Alan Borwell (Perth) scored 5.5/11.

In the Senior 50 section David Findlay (Dundee) scored 5.5/11 and FM Phil Giulian (Giffnock) 5/11. The event was won by GM Zurab Sturua of Georgia who finished ahead of English GM Keith Arkell on tiebreak after they both scored 8.5/11.
