The 2nd Scottish National Online Chess League (SNOCL) competition will take place in early 2022.

Based on the entries last year these are the proposed dates :

  • Round 1 & 2: Sunday 30th Jan 2022
  • Round 3 & 4: Sunday 20th Feb 2022
  • Round 5: Sunday 27th March 2022

As with last year the tournament will comprise teams of 5 players. The team entry fee is £15. We will again use the League Management System (LMS) to manage the tournament.

Time Control: time control 20 minutes plus 10 second increments.

Grading: The main difference this year is that we will be grading the games for Chess Scotland’s Allegro grading system so captains will be asked to send the games links for grading. Chess.com is the playing platform.

Fair-play: Every game will be pgn checked for fair-play. Players will not be able to continue in the event if their chess.com account is shut for using computer assistance and may be subject to further sanction by the Scottish Anti-Cheating Committee.
