Scottish Chess Tour update May 25 2020
May 25:
1st Scottish Chess Tour Online Standard Report
Alistair Macnaughton is the current sole leader on maximum points.
We have now successfully completed week 2 of our 3 week competition (4 out of 6 rounds) in our first Scottish Chess Tour online standard play event.
The event is part of our experimental online tournament formats. We have previously hosted a Blitz and two one day allegro events. We decided a longer time frame with the opportunity to be a little more flexible might appeal to a different type of player. Pairing are available on Monday and Wednesday evening and most games are played immediately, but games may be played at an agreed date and time before the start of the next round.
The current standings are available online here - https://www.ayrshirechess.co.uk/www1st%20SCT%20online%20Standard/standing.html
Alistair Macnaughton is currently leading the tournament with as he is the only person to score 4 wins from the first 4 rounds.
In second place on 3½ points is Douglas Will. There are five players on 3, Graeme Robertson, Jonathan Fallman, Gordon Caskie, Austin Connor & Neev Lukhi
Rounds 1 to 4 results are available here - 1st Online SCT Standard | Congress Org UK
Round 4 pairings are out on Monday evening at 7.30pm and the final round on Wednesday at 7:30 pm. You can watch each game live on Lichess.org.
