Scots abroad – Prague Open 2015

Andrew Burnett of Wandering Dragons and Michael Grove of Castlehill Chess Club are currently playing in the Prague Open. The pair were drawn together in round 2 with Andy emerging the victor.

Mikey recovered in round 3 with a win and drew level on 2 points with Andy who lost to Ukranian GM Alexsandr Nosenko.

Round 4 saw Andy record a win, with Mikey drawing against Dutch FM Eugene Rebers, rated 160 points higher than the Scot.

Round 5 sees Andy Burnett on board 7 faced with another Ukranian GM, Eduard Andreev and Michael Grove playing with the white pieces against another FM, Jan Lundin, this time from Sweden.

Peter Constantinou, who is a familiar face on the Scottish Congress circuit, having played for St Andrews, is also taking part and is on the same score as Michael after four rounds, with 2 1/2 points.
