Renfrewshire Allegro Chess Congress 2021

A 5-round event. 3 sections: Open, Major (under-1800) and Minor (under-1400)

Entry fee: £11 (including £1 CS grading fee),

£9 if born after 01/01/2003.

Results will be submitted to Chess Scotland for allegro grading.

Prizes for each section – 1^st £50, 2^nd £25

+ £15 grading prize.

One giant-killer prize of £15.

Rate of Play

All moves in 15 minutes.

Round 1 – 12.00 p.m.

Round 2 – 12.45 p.m.

Round 3 – 14.15 p.m.

Round 4 – 15.00 p.m.

Round 5 – 15.45 p.m.

How to get to the venue

 Clyde St. is adjacent to the river Clyde, at the end of Ferry Road, about ¾ mile north of Renfrew town centre.

McGill’s 26 and First Bus 77 services stop at Ferry Road, about 5 minutes’ walk from the venue.

Other buses serve Renfrew Cross, about 15 minutes’ walk from the venue.

The Yoker to Renfrew ferry lands about 2 minutes’ walk from the venue.
