Preview: The inaugural Renfrew Chess Congress will take place at the Normandy Hotel from 26th-28th of January.

The event consists of an Open Masters section, a Fide rated U2000 section, U1700 section and U1400 section as well as a Fide rated Rapidplay and a Fide rated Blitz.

Entries will be taken up until noon on Friday 26th January, but, in an extension of the deadline, players who enter by midnight of Sunday 14th January will be entered into a draw to win free entry to any section they are playing in over the weekend.
