Adjustments to rating calculations were detailed in November to try and produce more realistic ratings after two years covid inactivity. In particular many standard grades for junior players will no longer be accurate and in some extreme cases can be up to 1000 points lower than an allegro rating which has been updated with online results.
Some of the above events are FIDE rated. FIDE produce ratings for Standardplay, Rapid (The FIDE term for CS Allegro) and Blitz. Standard and Rapid (Allegro) events will be CS rated, not Blitz. Players need at least 5 results in FIDE events and a performance of 1000 or more to get an initial FIDE rating.
FIDE IDs: All players in FIDE rated events must have a FIDE ID (the international equivalent of the CS PNUM). Players without an ID should contact Chess Scotland to request a FIDE registration. CS can only register players as SCO.
