Online Grading System – free access
The Chess Scotland online grading system was open to all players from Christmas Eve till January 2nd. Access to the online system is one of the benefits of Chess Scotland membership.
To access a list of your itemised games go to the grading system start page and enter your name or player number (PNUM).
*****
The online system went live in summer 2002. Next year Scotland will be celebrating a decade of having regular updates of player grades during the grading season. The current update schedule is a new upload every Wednesday with an additional Sunday or Monday refresh if the results of a weekend congress are immediately available.
20 years ago you often had to wait for months to see an update of the results of your local league team. Now area graders in several leagues are making regular updates throughout the season to the CS online system.
The orginal system was designed by Alex Bisset of Aberdeen and the features and system have been enhanced and maintained by programmers Gordon Rattray of East Kilbride and Andrew McHarg of Livingston.
