Notice To Congress Directors
CHESS SCOTLAND EVENTS
Chess Scotland is pursuing its ongoing policy of ensuring compliance with the relevant PVG (Child Protection) legislation. In this connection, as from the current season, any Chess Scotland event requiring Arbiters will use those who are either:-
• listed at that time as Chess Scotland Registered Arbiters
• or under training towards achieving the above listing.
OTHER EVENTS
For other events, it is strongly recommended that the same policy is adopted as soon as practicable. In terms of implementation timescales, it is accepted that:-
• there are a limited number of Chess Scotland Registered Arbiters and
• implementation of the PVG scheme will be completed within the next two years.
MORE INFORMATION
For more information or to apply for listing please contact either the PVG Lead Signatory or the PVG Additional Signatory.
Information on Arbiter status can be accessed from the Arbiter Guide.
Notice issued with the authority of:-
Hamish Glen - President
Alistair Maxwell - Chairman, Arbiters Committee
Steve Mannion - PVG Lead Signatory
