Preview: The Largs Viking 2018 Chess Congress will take place 22nd-24th June at the newly £12 Million refurbished Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre on Burnside Road in Largs. This year we are having just the one section, the Largs Viking Championship, which will be a 5 round Swiss event open to all. The Championship will not only have substantial Grading Prizes of £200 for those graded U2000, U1700 & U1400, the event also boasts a Championship Trophy & £500 first prize as well as a £200 bonus if the event is won with a perfect 5 out of 5. The congress is also the last event in our Masters Grand Prix, with double points on offer in the race to win £100 in each of our three sections.
