IM Title for Graham Morrison

Graham Morrison’s application for the title of International Master (IM) was considered by the Presidential Board of the world chess federation at the FIDE congress in Yerevan, Armenia, January 19-20, 2013. The title was awarded conditional on a rating of 2400 being achieved.

The Lytham St Anne’s based Scot who won the Scottish Championship in 1981 recorded qualifying “norms” towards the IM title at the 4NCL UK chess league in 2009 and 2010 and also while playing for Scotland at the 2011 European Team Championships.

Alan Tate of Wandering Dragons was awarded the IM title in October 2011 also conditional on attaining a 2400 rating. http://www.fide.com/component/content/article/1-fide-news/5652-titles-approved-in-krakow-poland.html
