Edinburgh Congress 6 - 8 April 2018
The 2018 Edinburgh Congress takes place at St Thomas of Aquins High School.
The Prizes and Prize Fund has been increased, although the entry fee and venue, remain unchanged.
For Chess Clubs a group discount is available, should six players enter together, only pay for five.

FREE Coaching Sessions - Saturday and Sunday 7 & 8 April 2018
Free coaching sessions organised by Sean Marsh of Chess in Schools and Communities are to be offered at the Edinburgh Congress.
For both days the sessions start from 10.30 am and 3.30 pm and can be booked in advance. Contact David Stewart to book. davidstewartgm@hotmail.co.uk
Ideal for anyone thinking of being involved with a School Chess Club, such as a parent or Teacher.

Chess in the Park
This event will officially restart at 2.00 pm on Thursday 5 April 2018.
The Evening News is doing a follow-up article in which the owner of the Fountain Cafe, Gary Scott will be presented with ten chess sets, by Sean Marsh of Chess in Schools and Communities.
For this event, every Thursday 2 - 4 pm which is free of charge, the main requirement is that each player should bring with them a chess set and clock.
