Council Meeting and Grant

As many of you will be aware, the Educational Grant ceased and funding was moved to the Lottery fund meaning we had to apply for funding. We have now had a decision on this and unfortunately our application for funding was not successful.

David is currently putting a budget together with the new figures ready for the Council meeting for approval. Needless to say we are going to have to look at ideas for cuts and other avenues for funding.

We are looking to call a council meeting shortly. With the calendar being so congested, we are looking to split the council meeting into two sessions and have them midweek. The first will be to discuss and approve the budget, the second will cover any other business.

If anyone has any business for the council meetings, please can you forward on to me as soon as possible. I am going to accept submissions up to midnight next Sunday (28th April). As soon as we have a confirmed venue and time, I will communicate this to everyone both here and on the noticeboard.

Not the news I wanted to share with everyone but nevertheless I would like to thank David Congalton, Dick Heathwood, David Deary and Derek Howie for their efforts in trying to secure the funds.

Andy Howie
Executive Director
