On Saturday 19 th March 2011 the Inter-County Championships were held at St Margarets Church Hall, Airdrie.

Although only four teams took part there was a very competitive but friendly atmosphere. The Lothians team were defending their title from 2010. In the last round against South Lanarkshire A team they were 2 game points ahead but 8 board points behind so it was all to play for by both teams. Final match score was Lothians 6 South Lanarkshire 4. Well done Lothians for not only being the winning team but some impressive individual performances too.

Board prizes went to top scorers outwith the winning team:-

Callum McCallister, board 9 for South Lanarkshire B scored 4.5/6

Monica Espinosa board 1 for Ayrshire scored 3.5
