Congratulations to Geoff Chandler who has been voted The Player of the Year by Chess Scotland members.

Geoff's "Chandler Cornered" online column provided a joyous celebration of all things chess. Geoff's take on the chess world is one of undiminished enthusiasm.

Just a quick note to everyone who voted, 211 of you, to say thank you for taking the trouble to cast your vote.  It was a truly democratic process with every Chess Scotland member having the right to vote for anyone they chose.  You may have already read the noticeboard announcements explaining that 12 different players received votes so it was a wide open contest.
