Frank Slotopolski
#1
I am looking for further information about Frank Slotopolski [sometimes: Slotopolski Slater], born 1912, died 1987. There does not seem to have been an obituary in Scottish Chess.

Frank was associated with the Glasgow Jewish Institute CC, and the Glasgow League.
He donated the Slotopolski Trophy/Shield to the League. Can anyone confirm information about this trophy and/or supply a photograph? What was the trophy for? I have a reference from a Jewish Institute Yearbook (1954-55) that mentions a shield being given to the Glasgow Chess League to be used by the Third Division league members as their annual trophy. Could this be the Slotopolski Shield?

Other notes:
In 1950 his address was 330 Cathcart Rd, Glasgow (Southside).
He had a barber's shop in Bridgeton.

Thanks.

As I recall the Slotopolsky shield was used for an individual tournament run by the Glasgow League.
