#1
The draw for the group stages of the London Chess Classic can be seen here
http://www.londonchessclassic.com/super16_draw.htm

Our own Jonathan Rowson (late replacement for Magnus Carlsen) has landed a corker of a group with Kramnik, Svidler and Sadler =o Good luck with that Jonathan!

And let's not overlook other Scots -

Clement Sreeves, Neil Berry, Paul Roberts, Andrew Green, Mikey Grove, Douglas McKerracher

- who are taking part in the FIDE Open, starting Saturday.

Good luck to them all.

Yes good luck indeed. It would be a good time to hit a purple patch, as it seems the 2 remaining qualifiers for the London Classic will be taken from the highest scorers after round 4.

Am I being dim or are there no 'live' boards being transmitted from the FIDE Open? For that matter, will there be live broadcasts of the Classic itself? :\

EDIT: No sooner do I post this, than a huge LIVE BOARDS button appears on the website Big Grin
