I was interested to see who has played in the Scottish Championship the most times:
From the downloads and my spreadsheet , the leading players (all Glasgow based ) are :

McNab 26 times , Bryson 24, McKay 23, Buchanan 21, Muir 19, Mannion 16

Thanks to the organisers, arbiters, and everyone else for making it happen (including whoever washed all the cups etc!). Excellent prize fund considering the strength of the tournament - it's a good experience to play for high stakes. Finally, congratulations to Matthew, and to Keti for a strong display of fighting chess and deserved Scottish champion. The international open format is not perfect, but it has produced clearly worthy champions in the last 2 years.

I visited the scottish for the first time and I must say I was impressed with the amount of work put in by the organisers, particularly Alex and Andy H. I only got to see a small part of the work Alex puts in and I honestly dont know how he does it. He certainly deserves our ongoing support for the future of these Championships
