The venue offers twin rooms with en-suite & wet room, all of which are wheelchair accessible, for £74 PN B&B (single occupancy £55 PN B&B). To book please phone 01475 674666 and state your participation in the chess congress. You can check the rooms out on the Inverclyde National Sports Training Centre website. Please book early to avoid disappointment!

There will be 15 people entered into the prize draw which will take place before Round 3 on Saturday 23rd June.

The congress will once again be taking place on the same weekend as the Largs Live Festival, which has a wide range of music acts performing at venues across Largs, so there will be plenty of entertainment away from the chess board.

A quick reminder that we are again offering a Replica Lewis Chessmen Set to the best junior at this year's congress. This prize is open to all juniors 16 years of age and younger that have not won the Best Junior Prize at previous Largs Viking Congresses.

Just over 50 hours left to get an entry in this year.

Draws and results will be posted on the internet HERE.

Also, in case it escaped your notice, it is not FIDE rated so an influx of those to whom that is important seems still to materialise, we live in hope.

An opportunity for practice before Championships coming up could also be an advantage.

Round 1 draw now available. As the venue has the Chess Scotland web site blocked there will be few, if any, updates on this thread.

We shall try to indicate when the draws are available.
