AGM Notice
#1
I am a little concerned that the AGM notice and requested for nominations and motions has now dropped from the top page on the News page of the website.

Considering that AGM is one of the primary importance to Ches Scotland surely this announcement should be "pinned" as matte of prime importance.

The final date for nominations and motions (not later than 23:59 on Saturday 8th November 2025)

Also shouldnt the women's director's role be mentioned in the AGM notice, given Alice's sudden resignation

All directors who resign their post mid-term, provided they have done so before nominations close, then others should be allowed to be nominated provided they are proposed and seconded should be allowed than opportunity.

This permits the widest range of candidates and prevents the Management Board from having to research their own candidates and also prevents over worked existing directors to take on dual roles to the detriment of Chess Scotland.

I do not belief that senior Executive/Management officials be overloaded in this way.

Like Alice Lampard's resignation, or any director who has resigned, they should be simply in position for the remaining term of office for the current director(s).

I do not believe that resignations should be withheld, rather be announced the earliest opportunity and the AGM should make the decisions.
