Eoin Campbell - andybburnett - 23-12-2018

Very sad news via Jim O'Neill of Wandering Dragons club that Eoin Campbell passed away last month (27/11/2018)

Jim writes 'Eoin had been in poor health for some time and sadly, it finally caught up with him. He was a Wandering Dragons stalwart and will be sorely missed by us all. A service will be held at Mortonhall Crematorium, Pentland Chapel, on Friday, December 28, at 2.30 pm. All welcome.'

Sad news. I didn't know him socially but our paths crossed frequently over the chess board and I was always struck that his positional understanding made him a very difficult opponent who could beat anyone on his day. Sad to think we will have no more battles over the board. RIP
