It's wrong to assume that the vast majority of CS members work 9-5 Monday to Friday and have to take holidays in July.
There is a good number (75) of CS members playing in the Scottish Championships, most of whom hopefully can attend.

I suspect that the majority of CS members do work Monday to Friday and not on night shift or back shift. Those 75 members playing in the Scottish Championship will be unable to attend after 13.00 - when today's round starts. Is 2 1/2 hours really long enough for a meeting of this complexity ??

I suspect you suspect wrongly.

Re: New constitution - Phil Thomas - 14-07-2015

We are all a minority of one

Some more often than others.

Re: New constitution - Alex McFarlane - 14-07-2015

New constitution rejected.

I wasn't at all of the meeting and not for the final vote.

Where did I say that I assumed that?

Re: New constitution - JMcNicoll - 14-07-2015

Not rejected in totality, to be fair.
A new, new constitution should be available hopefully soon with another SGM to be called for the morning of the AGM.
Those are the plans as agreed at the end of the meeting. could change, who knows?

Re: New constitution - amuir - 14-07-2015

what were the things not liked by members ?
how did my 3 proposals go ?

Re: New constitution - Alan Jelfs - 14-07-2015

There were 14 of us in the room, and over 70 proxy votes!
Generally there was > 50% support for the new constitution, but crucially not 2/3rd support.
There is a "blocking minority" of negative proxy votes.
