Would love to know how the Women got on against Russia...

Lots of technical issues today it looks like
Scotland vs USA tomorrow. Big Grin Big Grin
I will hopefully have a round 1 report up soon on the home page. For now....

Round 2 Open
Scotland vs USA!!! (Today Nakamura was board 1 but possible that Caruana will take over tomorrow!)

Round 2 Women
Scotland vs Zimbabwe ( A slightly less-daunting task than the one they faced today)

Great rd 2 ties ... for differing but equally motivating standpoints. Go for it ... both teams!
Round 3 Open

Scotland vs Ivory Coast

-a strange pairing given our score, but it transpires that Ivory Coast's 1st round opponents Mexico got their dates wrong and appeared to day instead! The 4-0 default puts Ivory Coast a lot higher up the draw than they might have expected.

Round 3 Women

Scotland vs Norway

-A toughie against an experienced Norwegian squad - another good test for our women!

Three of our games in the daily report from chess.com https://www.chess.com/news/carlsen-succe...mpiad-4273
The live feed from the official site and chess24 has slowed to a crawl and now has completely gone. Andy, can you ask them to put a Qapec in the meter!?
Round 4 Open

Scotland vs Turkey

A tough reward for our victory today - but that's exactly why the boys are here: to test themselves against strong opposition!

Round 4 Women

Scotland vs Trinidad & Tobago

Another part of the whole Olympiad experience is meeting teams from far-flung nations, and the girls are on to their 3rd continent in 4 rounds!

Looks tough, but the Turks might be a bit unsettled after losing to Italy (their sole loser got the immediate push from the team) so I think we are in with a shout.
Looks like Ali is going for the kill!
