  • 1969/70 Eighth Niemeyer International Junior Tournament, Groningen. It was recognised by FIDE as a European Junior Championship. From his preliminary section, Pritchett qualified for Final Group 'A', where he finished = 3rd with Belyavsky with 6/9, behind Adorjan 7, Ljubojevic 6½. This included a win against Adorjan.
  • 1971 Played Board 2 for British Universities Chess Association v W. Germany: one loss and on win v Dueball.
  • 1974 Bad Mondorf, Luxembourg. 3rd prize with 6/9.
  • 1974 Hamburg. Pritchett finished with 5½/8, sharing 4th-7th places in this Swiss System event.
  • 1974 Decin 1st (shared) in the 'B' tournament with 9/12.
  • 1975 London. Shared 5th-8th place with 4½/10.
  • 1975 Ostend, Belgium. Played for Great Britain team in the 1st EEC Team Tournament (3/5 on board 2).
  • 1975 Home International Team Tournament, Glasgow (Glasgow 800 celebrations).
  • 1975 Decin (Czechoslovakia).
  • 1978 Won the South African Open
  • 1979 Middlebrough. Board 1 for Scotland in the Clare Benedict Team Tournament.
  • 1980 Lloyds Bank Masters, London. Shared 7th-12th places with 6/11, only one point behind the winner.
  • 1981 Shanghai, Peking, Canton, China. 1st International Tournament in the country.
  • 1982 Lloyds Bank, London. 5/9 in this Swiss System event.
  • 1984 Troon International Tournament (Scottish Chess Association Centenary Year).
  • 1988 Rilton Cup, Stockholm.
  • 1988 Glenrothes International 5-Minute Tournament.
