Scottish Championship 1958

From the September 1958 British Chess Magazine, pp223-4, report by Dr J.M. Aitken.

The 65th Annual Congress of the Scottish Chess Association was held in the rooms of the Edinburgh Chess Club from July 5th, to 12th. A maximum entry of twelve included quite a number of new names, most of which were naturally from Edinburgh, and made necessary an exacting schedule─one round on the opening Saturday and two rounds a day from Monday to Friday of the following week. This mde the ability to avoid adjourned games highly desirable and I was fortunate in this respect.
