Scottish Championship 1951

The 58th Annual Congress of the Scottish Chess Association opened on Friday, 23 March in Dundee, at the Burgh Courtroom, City Chambers. Neither W.A. Fairhurst nor Dr. J.M. Aitken competed in the Championship, which ended in a tie between P.B. Anderson, last year's champion, and A.A. Thomson, with 5½.

Thomson later won the play-off match 2-1.
