British Women's Championship 1929

Held at Chatham House School, Ramsgate, July 29-August 10

Miss M.D. Gilchrist of Edinburgh wins the first of her two British championships, the other being in 1934.

Miss Gilchrist had taken part in every championship from 1920 to 1926, coming second at Southport 1924, and third at Edinburgh 1926.

Two other Scottish ladies took part in this tournament: Mrs Brockett (Glasgow) and Miss Forbes (Edinburgh).
